Graham Percy, my illustrator husband and partner of 35 years, once made a set of wacky sketches which he called 'Places to take photographs from'. He drew them trying to nudge me back to work after a fallow stretch. Later, shortly after he died these pictures sparked a conversation for me with him.
When leafing through his drawings now, I remember every line he drew and the discussions we had, and can easily continue our dialogue.
In 'Inventory of Ourselves' I am combining my working practices, my husband's drawings and all the objects that surrounded us as a way to encapsulate something of the artistic relationship we had.
